Welcome to the online residence of The Twinklings, a cohort of young professionals dedicated to the Socratic idea that “the unexamined life is not worth living” and, furthermore, that the life written is better examined, and hence more thoughtfully lived, as writing focuses thinking, forces clarity, demands economy and, ultimately, reveals truth and beauty.

While we dare not think we can mimic the original Inklings in the quality or profundity of our writings, we consider it a noble attempt to replicate the purpose and process of their gatherings. Performing live readings and engaging in thoughtful discussions of members’ prose and poetry, in a setting that is conducive to sharing liquid libations, are the main purposes of our group.  Thus, you will find no place for comments anywhere on this site, as it is merely a repository and reference source for our regular, in-person (shocking, we realize) gatherings.
